In Alaska and Ohio
Therapy for the doers, builders and get-stuff-doners, who are done running on fumes and ready to build something more durable.
You show up, you produce, you hold it together, and from the outside, no one would guess what it actually takes. But you know. You feel the gap between what you’re putting out and what you’re getting back.
The patterns you’ve tried to outwork keep showing up. The exhaustion isn’t from lack of effort; it’s from effort pointed in the wrong direction, for too long, in service of a version of worth you were never supposed to have to earn.
The demands on your time and energy seem to never end.
It’s a constant transaction between you and the world. You give and give until you have nothing left. But still, everyone wants more. More time. More effort. More responsibilities.
You tell yourself that eventually, things will slow down and get easier, but they never do. You just keep sacrificing your energy and comfort while growing increasingly tired, empty, and numb.
You’re Ready For Things to Change
What changes in therapy aren’t your circumstances; it’s your relationship to them. Life becomes a consequence of lifestyle, not your past. Lifestyle is largely within your control. What isn’t controllable becomes survivable, not all-consuming. You stop needing the external scoreboard to tell you you’re enough. You can finally start directing the skills you’ve acquired toward other meaningful goals, knowing that you have inherent value.
But How?
I’m a Socratic clinician. That means I’m the expert in skills and clinical insight, you’re the expert in yourself. I won’t chase you, rescue you, or collude with the patterns keeping you stuck. I’m not on your distortions or anxiety’s team.
I am on your team.
I will hold you to the goals you set for yourself. I’ll steer you back when you drift, challenge the distortions that feed the old habits, and build new habits and patterns with you directly. This is supportive care, not enabling.
If you come in skeptically optimistic and willing to experiment, you could feel something meaningfully different within the first two sessions. If you’re going through the motions, it’ll take much longer. I can’t want it more than you do.
You have inherent value.
Not because of what you produce, what you contribute, or how well you hold it together.
You Have Value.
Hi, I’m Morgan.
I am a small business owner, researcher, and mental health counselor, licensed in Alaska and Ohio.
I work with high-functioning adults, including those with ADHD and neurodivergent profiles, navigating burnout, repeating patterns, and the quiet exhaustion of deriving worth from output. My approach integrates ACT, Schema Therapy, EMDR, and Socratic questioning, grounded in nature-informed and research-based practice.
I’m based in Eagle River, Alaska. My work is direct, collaborative, and built around durability, not dependency or enabling.
If you’re ready to step into your power and reclaim your presence,
so am I.
What I Offer
Individual Counseling
Individual therapy at Cura is a structured, clinically rigorous process designed for high-functioning adults who are done explaining themselves and ready to do something about it. Sessions are Socratic by design, meaning I bring the clinical framework, and you bring the expertise on yourself. Together, we examine the patterns, distortions, and habits that are quietly running your life, identify where they came from, and build something more durable in their place. This isn’t supportive listening. It’s collaborative, accountable, and direct clinical work grounded in ACT, Schema Therapy, EMDR, and the kind of honest feedback most people have never received in a therapeutic setting. If you’re skeptically optimistic and willing to experiment, you’ll feel a meaningful shift within the first two sessions.
Available in-person in Eagle River, Alaska, and via telehealth across Alaska and Ohio.
Group Counseling
Group counseling at Cura is a structured clinical experience designed to support, educate, and facilitate transformation in individuals who are navigating similar terrain, burnout, identity, the cost of high output, and the exhaustion of performing competence, and who are ready to do that work alongside others who’ve been there too. The group functions as both a clinical environment and a living laboratory: what shows up in your relationships, your patterns, and your defenses will show up in the room, and that’s exactly the point. Facilitated with the same Socratic accountability that drives individual work at Cura, group sessions offer something individual therapy cannot: the experience of being witnessed, challenged, and supported by people who are in it with you. Limited enrollment.
Psychoeducation & Consultation
We offer consultation in two forms.
– Individual consultation is for people who want clinical insight without the commitment of a therapeutic relationship, whether that means making sense of a diagnosis, understanding a pattern that keeps showing up, or building a concrete plan for what they’re navigating. Sessions are structured, specific, and built around your questions. You leave with clarity and something actionable.
– Professional training and psychoeducation are for clinical teams, organizations, and academic programs that need expert-led training delivered with rigor and without filler. Topics draw from Morgan’s clinical expertise and active research, including neurodivergent-affirming practice, nature-informed care, AI ethics in clinical settings, and burnout in high-output professionals. Built to change how people think and work, not to check a CE box.
Both are available in-person and virtually. Reach out to discuss scope and availability.
