Hey you!
It’s me, Mo. I just wanted to leave you with some food for thought and help you understand how vital self-advocacy is to me, to my practice, and how it fuels my devotion to my client’s transformation.
Self-advocacy is critical for healing, growth, and empowerment.
As a neurodivergent individual, you might struggle with feeling unheard and misunderstood and wonder if this world just wasn’t meant for you and how you experience it.
But your voice matters.
And you have the power to shape your experience. You really do!
Through counseling and individual work, you can live in and experience the world as you were meant to. Fully embracing the lifestyles and exploring the interests that drive you without fear of judgment, harassment, or danger.
First, we will create a safe and comfortable space for you to express your most authentic needs and goals. Then, through small steps, like creating a sensory-friendly environment in your home and prioritizing comfort and safety in session, we’ll create new pathways that honor your authentic self and encourage the advocate in you!
Discover the real you.
Together, we will come to truly understand and respect your unique needs and find ways for you to exercise your self-advocacy muscles on your own.
Throughout our work together, you’ll be reminded that YOU are in the driver’s seat on the road toward healing and transformation.
I will teach you practical strategies for effective communication, encourage you to set boundaries, and support you in finding your unique and authentic voice in therapy and beyond.
Take the next step!
You might not believe me now, but Autism can bring strengths and unique perspectives that this world needs, and we will incorporate them into our therapy sessions.
My greatest wish is for you to be able to express your needs and learn how to fight for them when no one else will.
All right, I am blabbing now, but remember that you deserve to be understood and respected for your unique needs, abilities, and perspectives.
Hasta Luego,
Mo Stohlman
